Research Vessel "HANNIBAL"

was acquired by the in December 1998, is 33,7 m long and 7,6 m wide, it can accommodate 20 people [13 crew members and 7 scientists] and has autonomy of 15 days.
The ship is equipped with sophisticated navigation, oceanographic and fisheries research equipment, researchers can thus conduct: pelagic and bottom trawling up to a depth of 800 meters, and pelagic resource surveys using scientific echo-sounders taking samples of sediments, phytoplankton and water up to a depth of 4000 meters the continuous measurement of salinity, temperature and other hydro-biologic parameters.
