He completed his MSc thesis in the same department in 1998. He was appointed as a research assistant to Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Geophysics in 1998 and completed his PhD in this department in 2005. In the same year, he was appointed as a lecturer at Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University, Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology. He became associate professor in 2007 and full time research professor in 2013 at this institute. He is currently working on marine geophysics data acquisition and processing, gas hydrates, continental slope stability and shallow gas accumulations in marine sediments. He coordinated several industry-supported as well as scientific research projects with the Koca Piri Reis research vessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abdul Halim Abdul Latiff<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abdul Halim Abdul Latiff<em> <\/em>is currently leading the Centre for Subsurface Imaging (CSI), an oil and gas industry-oriented research centre in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He obtained his MEng, MSc and Doctorate from Imperial College London, UTP and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) respectively with special interest in seismic technology and deep-earth seismology. His main area of expertise is in seismic processing and imaging, both for active and passive seismic (including earthquake seismology). With several years as an industry practitioner with CGG Malaysia as well as researcher and academician with UTP, Halim is on a mission to spread the knowledge in geosciences and nurturing more earth scientist for a sustainable and better future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Asl\u0131han Nas\u0131f Dondurur<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Asl\u0131han Nas\u0131f Dondurur graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Geophysics in 2012, and&nbsp; was appointed as a research assistant at the Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University, Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology in 2013. She completed her MSc and PhD studies in this institute in 2015 and 2021, respectively. She is working on single and multichannel seismic data acquisition and processing, multibeam bathymetric data acquisition, submarine geomorphology, gas hydrate structures and debris flows. She participated several research and investigation projects along with the private oil companies and research institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Muhammad Hafeez Jeofry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Muhammad Hafeez Jeofry is currently serving as a lecturer of Marine Geoscience at the Faculty of Science and Marine Environment. His research centres on the interaction between triggering factors (i.e., climate-ocean interaction, hydrogeology and seismology) to comprehend localized landform stability such as the ice sheet and slope erosion. He was conferred a PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, UK, in 2019, and has published his works in Nature Communications, Nature Geoscience, Earth System Science Data and Reviews of Geophysics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00d6zkan \u00d6zel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00d6zkan \u00d6zel completed his undergraduate education in S\u00fcleyman Demirel University, Department of Geophysical Engineering in 2007, and his master&#8217;s degree in Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University, Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology, Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics in 2012. In 2015, he appointed as a research assistant at the same department. He has been involved in several research studies on marine geophysics since 2009 including multi-channel high-resolution seismic and multibeam data acquisition with the R\/V K. Piri Reis within the institute.&nbsp; Now, he has been carrying out his PhD study on &#8220;Seismo-Acoustic Structure of The Mid-Black Sea Continental Slope&#8221; and working on exploration gas hydrates by seismic methods, submarine fluid flow as well as submarine morphology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Zulfakriza<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Zulfakriza is a faculty member of Global Geophysics Research Group, Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. He completed his PhD in 2016 from seismology program of Earth Science Department, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and his research focus on seismology. He is currently working on earthquake seismology, ambient seismic noise tomography and seismic hazard assessment in Indonesia. Some of his work has published in several good impact journals such as Geophysical Journal International, Frontier in Earth Sciences, Geoscience Letter and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Orhan Atg\u0131n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orhan Atg\u0131n graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Geophysics in 2009, and completed her MSc in this institute in 2012. He Works as a lecturer at the Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology at Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University since 2012. He has been involved in several research studies on marine geophysics since 2012 including multi-channel high-resolution seismic data acquisition with the R\/V K. Piri Reis within the institute. Although most of them are academic studies, he generally works on tectonic research, submarine channel systems and gas hydrates.
